Over the last two weeks I’ve visited two colleges that were having ID camp events at their schools: Skidmore and Bowdoin. I had already gone to Skidmore in 2024 and I really liked my time there. The coaches at Skidmore were fun and provided valuable information on writing emails and creating highlight videos for colleges. At Bowdoin, I appreciated the fact that Coach Wiercinski ran the camp like a normal training session and provided feedback during the drills.
Since I’m my own worst critic, at both clinics, I became frustrated with myself because I felt slower and weaker than my co-campers. However, I felt I was able to play some good balls to my teammates and help them into advantageous positions, even contributing to a couple of scoring chances.
We toured the campuses; both tours were run by students that seemed to loved their college. I appreciated that both campuses featured art museums and both tours highlighted the quality of their dining halls. I look forward to hearing from the coaches in the next couple of weeks.
